2015-2016 PTSA Presidents Message
Dear Parks Families,
Welcome to Parks Jr. High School! On behalf of the PTSA we welcome all new, incoming and returning Parks students and their families.
My name is Elaine Moline and I am co-chairing PTSA President with Debbie Berry for the 2015-16 school year. I am a past PTSA president at Parks when my daughter attended here. I have two children my daughter Morgan is going to be a sophomore at Fullerton Union High School and I have a son Jarrett who is an incoming 7th grader at Parks. I am excited to see how Parks has changed with the ‘roll out’ of the iPads and how Common Core is being adapted. Our time at Parks is only two years but we still need you to volunteer and see what junior high is all about. I am looking forward to working with Ms. Dustin, the staff, parents and the new assistant principal. Welcome to Parks Junior High!
I’m Debbie Berry and I am very excited to be involved in the PTSA this year. It’s my first experience as president and I am so thankful I have Elaine to show me the ropes. I have two children in the Fullerton School District my daughter Kieley is an incoming seventh grader here at Parks and my son R.J. will be in third grade at Fern Dr. I have been involved in the PTA at Fern Dr. for the last few years and I cant wait to continue on here at Parks. I look forward to working with all the parents, teachers, staff and students this year!
As a PTSA, we work collaboratively to support the school through many events and volunteer opportunities. Together we are all invested in the growth and education of our children. We need your support! Due to cutbacks made in the prior years the need for a strong, active and well-supported PTSA has never been greater.
You can support you son/daughter’s school by joining the PTSA. Our goal is to achieve 100% participation from all faculty and families here at Parks Junior High. A portion of each membership goes to the State and National PTSA Support. Also your membership provides students with their planners, physical education equipment, classroom technology, positive behavior intervention support, and student programs and activities.
The PTSA meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:45a.m. in Room 127 at Parks Jr. High School. Our first meeting will be September 2nd. The scheduled meetings are also posted on the school website. We understand that parents are busy, if you cannot attend the meetings but still would like to be involved, please send us an email or fill out the sign-up form on orientation day. Also if you would like more information on how you can help out the PTSA please feel free to email us at anytime.
We look forward to an amazing school year. If you have any questions, or want to get involved, please contact us. The Parks PTSA needs you, we always welcome new faces and ideas!
